Anybody ever come up with a new idea for a piece of gear, and go about shopping it to potential manufacturers? I have a patent pending on a new designfor a piece of music gear(it's not bass gear, but music gear nonetheless), and am researching how to shop it around and present the idea, and try and learn more about what to expect.
It's actually not one that will require a prototype(IMHO)--it's not a particularly unusual concept, just one that hasn't been done before. It's more like a combination of two previously separate pieces of kit to create a new performance device. I plan on making a demo video using a fake prototype (I can create all the video and audio in my own studio, and make a demo vid as if the piece really exisited
Anybody ever do anything like this?
