...cause I am.
I've never really listened to much of their music, but it just seems pretty cool that I'll be sharing the stage with Blackie Lawless in two weeks.
Anyone played with them or have any info they can share so I'll know what to expect? I know these guys used to be crazy...but that wasn't yesterday.

And no...every gig is not a gift. Some are far from it.

I like my office job, but this depends on what your definition of a bad gig is. If your bad gig involves just performing poorly, then that's one thing. A great day in the office definately trumps the van breaking down out of state, having equipment stolen, a fight breaking out that involves(but wasn't started by) members of the band and getting royally screwed by club owners. Among other things.
I agree with the point you're trying to make though.

Far from an "A" list band to open for, but it was fun, none the less. |

In an interview to VH1, Blackie stated he used the device until, during one concert, the device exploded, causing him great pain and knocking him back a number of feet."
"As part of the W.A.S.P. stage performance, Blackie mounts a demonic-looking metal sculpture (called "Elvis") that doubles as a microphone stand. Reportedly weighing in excess of 1,000 lb (450 kg), it is mounted on springs to allow Blackie to climb atop and swing from it during the show to dramatic effect. This mic stand is often cited by the band as the reason for its cancellation of shows, due to its tremendous weight being too heavy for the stage."
The more I read about these guys, hell ya, you should be excited!!

I don't leave shows anymore unless I have a damn good reason to.
