Well i ordered a bass and it was coming today i was not going to be home between 12-1:30 for class , when i got home the bass was not there so i was happy i did not miss the UPS, he never leaves packages and leaves me a note if i am not home to go pick it up or be home tomorrow, well he left it this time according to the tracking number , meaning someone stole my bass off my porch between 12:40 and 1;30 this really sucks because that was going to be my only bass , so i have no money and no bass now.
Do i go after UPS? the ebay seller? or does the ebay seller go after UPS? all i know is this is going to take forever , i may not get money back or it may take forver and i wont have a bass this whole time , kinda wondering what my band will think of that, seeing as how we have practice tomorrow. |

Go after UPS yourself. Don't expect the seller to do anything. He did his part. If you go about this passively, you're gonna wind up with nothing. Make a stink and hopefully you'll get compensation.
There is also the chance that the tracking information is wrong and that they still have the package. Either way, it's worth contacting UPS and looking into (sooner, rather than later). |

I am going to call UPS and see whats up , i allready contacted the ebay seller and posted pics of it on my local craigs. Honestly i cant see someone stealing a 5 foot long box from my door step in broad day light where i live but anything could happen. |

| | | | It's the seller that has to initiate a claim. If UPS pays, they'll pay the seller, not you. The seller should refund your payment to them. You need to find out if the seller specified that a signature was required for delivery. |

| | | | Wow...this really sucks. Hopefully it works out for you (getting your wanted bass).
What did you order, if you don't mind me asking.. |

| | | | Did you contact UPS? I've had an instance a while back where the tracking service said the item was delivered but they were actually holding the package for me to pick up. The only way I found out was by calling UPS and they told me they were holding it for me to pick up. Worth a shot anyway. |

According to the seller, FedEx paid the claim on the bass, and he sent another, identical bass, that he had. Supposed to be here tomorrow...I'm holding my breath.
But the fact that the bass got crushed in the 1st place tells me that FedEx is really no better than UPS in that regard. (The bass was well packed...the best I've seen, for a used bass, from another TB'er...still...smashola... )
