OK, presumeably most of us have seen the $25K Fender EVH Frankenstein guitar by now. Is there a comparably famous, perfectly rotten bass out there that could be similarly replicated for sale at an incredibly exorbitant price?

BTW, my sources at GC say that they've sold over 150 of these, and one guy in Texas bought six.

the detail on that thing is amazing. so is the neck (it plays beautifully!).

maybe one of john entwistle's fenderbirds? i don't know how beat up they are, though... how about sid vicious's bass? again, i'm not sure about the state of said bass.

edit: how about michael anthony's jack daniel's bass?

(watch here)

The Jaco bass is $3000.0

That is the highest I've seen.

My parents love the expression "Some people have more money than brains."

eg, the guy buying six EVH sigs.

Is that guy really an example of having more money than brains though? Think about what'll happen to the value of those guitars when EVH passes.

I doubt Eddie can hold a pen these days. He's a serious drunk these days, although I understand he's in rehab. I was listening to an old Howard Stern clip with David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar, and Dave called him Eddie Van Heineken. Judging by his NAMM show appearances in the last year or two, it sounds about accurate.

Billy Sheehan's "Wife"

I bet if they were to replicate that one, it would be a little pricey.

That bass (along with the original EVH model) is just worn from some endless giggin'...
