Question Similar Ads in Bass Player Mag

Sign in to disble this ad
I was just flipping through the July issue of Bass Player Mag and noticed something weird with 4 ads:

Gallien-Krueger on page 1: Main ad text: NO COMPROMISE

Carvin on page 13: Main ad text: NO COMPROMISE

Eden on page 31: Main ad text: NEVER COMPROMISE

Ampeg on page 61: Main ad text: COMPROMISE NOTHING

It seems they think we bass players are really narrow minded.

Or they don't want us to comprimise. One or the other.

Seems they're all compromising on the creative people they're hiring to write their ads. Now isn't it ironic.

I reckon they'll each compete on the level of refusal to compromise in successive ads eg.

NEVER COMPROMISE. EVER. NO SIR. NOT ONE IOTA. WE DON'T COMPROMISE- WHY SHOULD YOU? WE'D RATHER EAT OUR AMPS THAN COMPROMISE.

and then someone will break the cycle by saying COMPROMISE? YEAH, OKAY.

You've compromised their collective advertising secrets! That's like bass-brand treason, but an interesting observation.

I DON'T COMPROMISE.

IF IT WAS EASY TO COMPROMISE, I WOULD TAKE THE HARD ROUTE AND NOT COMPROMISE.

Good observation! I hate cliches. I think I'll try to dig up some myself.

We bass players are always compromising. After all, we're team players (or should be).
