HLately I've been wanting to start learning to sing well becasue a substantial amount of bands require that you be able to sing lead and/or backup vocals so I was wondering how do you singers out there learn to start singin...singing strong with good range and holding notes etc what did you do thank you very much for all help

I'd really like some advice on this too.

I asked my friend who's in her church chorus for some advice. Now, she's got one the best singing voices I think I've ever heard. What did she tell me?

There's nothing I can do! If I wasn't born with a good voice, I won't be able to get one. Yeah, that's pretty discouraging.

But seriously, there must be something, right?

I listen to Gene Simmons and Les Claypool for inspiration. . .

Not really. . . question has been answered. But yeah, I wish I could sing too.

I guess if you've never had to work at it (or never noticed how much you've practiced) then you might think that.

Unless you've got a truly bizarre voice (Les Claypool?) even when speaking, there's no reason you can't develop a pleasant singing voice.
