i am intrested in skullcandy headphones so i can walk down the street with decent headphones without looking like a douch but are they worth it? are they good headphones for rock, acoustic and indie sort of music i do not want boomy headphones made for techno and hip hop.

if these are bad are there any other presentable can phones.

If you're talking about the little earbuds like these:

then I would say get some. They have some really good bass response, and they're not boomy at all. One warning, though, you might not want to walk down the street with these in, they completely isolate you from your surroundings, so that may be a little bit dangerous.

i mean all skull candy headphones, earbuds and cans. the GI and Ti look pretty good, they are presentable and i have heard skullcrushers are a bit bass heavy.

and with the earbuds are there others that are better even though they are great?

The earbuds are definitely worth it! I found mine on sale for 10 clams at FYE...down from 30!

Two bits of advice-
1) The Alexander is right on...the squishy gels are very good at isolating most outside noise from your ear. Keep that volume low enough...
2) The gels can fall off and for what they are are kinda expensive to replace. I recently superglued mine on, so no more worries on that front.
