Question Slap bass by Wooten

Sign in to disble this ad
I saw Victor at a couple of shows, and I listened to his albums relentlessly, and I can still never seem to get his technique down tap. i even went to his site, and lessons, but it seems very difficult to understand (exp. Classical Thump: passed the eighth notes; the first song on disc two live in America) so i'm sure someone besides Wooten has this technique down, can I get some advise
?

i dunno. i'm a terrible slapper myself.
i've sen him twice and the amazing thing is how little his hand actually moves. (i'm sure lots of other greats have the same tecnique)
me? i always look as though i'm trying to beat a mackerel to death on my fingerboard.

He friend and bass tech (Anthony Wellington) gives online slap lessons at www.musicdojo.com. If you've got the $ and time, it's worth it. Slap 2 is definately an eye-opener.
