slow down programs

im lookin for a slow down program. i seen mentioned in tb all kinds of free stuff you can get off the net. well im kinda scared of downloadin stuff and gettin a virus or somethin that will kill my computer. i know tascam has a blackbox but it sounds like its hit and miss with reliability.what is a good program to get to slow cds down, bring out the bass and where do i get it. thanks for any and all help, mike.
