Anybody know what happened to Sly Stone? Information
is pretty scant on this dude. Last anyone can tell, the band was inducted into the R&R hall of fame in 93 and nobody's heard from him since...

I heard somewhere Sly (Sylvester Stewart) Stone is pretty much a drooling vegatable. Too many years of drug abuse and too much partying caught up with Sly years ago. Remember the tv commercial with the song "I'm everyday people". Well they say Sly is so far gone he does'nt even remember he made that song or any others for that matter. real sad stuff! Cynthia Robinson (trumpet player)from that group has seemed to battle back from her problems. You can see her on Princes rave 2000 DVD with Larry graham, Jerry Martini (sax) is with her on that DVD. It's like a small Sly & the family Stone reunion.

The most screwed up thing about all of this? He only got into drugs to conquer his severe stage fright. It wasn't worth the trade off.

Man, Sly and The family Stone is a deep well of cool music.

I love "It's a Family Affair". Style they had!

When I was about 11 or 12...I would listen to "I Wanna Take You Higher" almost incessantly. My parents(mom, especially) didn't especially like it.
Come to think of it, she didn't really like "Light My Fire", either.

The connection is ____________?
