This is very sad indeed....but....those of us who were of age during the 60's and 70's will remember the 1000's and 1000's of us who bought tickets to see Sly and The Family Stone only for him to come out and play only a couple of songs in a drunken stooper or not show up at all.

He made great original music. What a fresh sound it was.

I am a 60's child. I was first aware of Sly from my purchase of the Woodstock album. They were awsome!

I hope all turns out well for him. What happened to the other band members?
