There's a Wikipedia entry that lists personnel; no bass player is credited.

For the songs with bass, it was Nathan East.

Louis E. Johnson aka 'Thunder Thumbs' of The Brothers Johnson played bass on some songs from Michael Jackson's albums Off the Wall, Thriller and Dangerous.

Interestingly, Steve Lukather of Toto played Guitar and Bass on Beat It. Eddie Van Halen did the guitar solo on Beat It. Paul Jackson, Jr. also played guitar on Beat It.

LOL! I played on an album many years ago where the drummers were credited as either "D. Roland" or "Chin Tzi Yamaha".

And the late, great Jeff Porcaro on drums.

All the Stock, Aitken, and Waterman stuff used to have "A. Linn" credited as the drummer on their productions.... that of course, would be a Linn drum machine.
