lucky Dream Theater has never played in my state since I started listening to them, they did some years ago, and being a moron I didnt by tickets due to "meh metal". Now I listen to DT and learn their songs on bass daily.

Tell us how well they did!

I've seen them on the Six Degrees tour and Gigantour, and they put on a good show at both gigs (wasn't a big fan of their Gigantour setlist). I'd be pretty dissapointed if they played a large chunk of the new album, but they probably will.

As far as OP, I saw Chaos in Motion (3rd row at the LA show) this summer, and it kicked ass. Being as you're in Australia, you get killer Evening With shows.

Dream theater kicked ass!

They played IN the Presence of Enemies pts 1 and 2 together but i heard that was a chaos in motion standard.

Rudess also bought his 'zen-riffer' keytar which rocked so much and was definitely one of the highlights.
i started off in a reserved seat and ended up moshing 2 rows from the front.
