Has anyone on TB seen Yes on this summer tour with Styx so far? I'd really like to hear some reviews, especially of the new epic "Fly from Here".

| | | | It seems pretty promising. Outside of the Anderson-is-Yes crazies, I've heard mostly positive things. And, the new single, which is part of "Fly from Here" is awesome.

This band is still very much alive.I wish I could see them on the tour, but the closest they're coming is Nashville...I can't get a ride that far.
Has anyone here heard the epic?

I think that's a good thing. I couldn't stand to have Yes make a NEW album with a Jon exact soundalike.

Anderson to the point of being scary/weird. Oliver Wakeman fills dad's shoes to a T. Howe,Squire & White are the vets. What great arrangements when you consider the
s*&% that is out their. |

| | | I've seen a few vids of them at the House of Blues, and what I saw was promising. I can't wait!

yeah, I just got lawn seats, but I do that with every show there, there isn't a single bad seat (even on the grass) at Verizon. Though I had thought about a meet-and-greet....think it'll be worth it?

They'll keep going as long as he wants to do it. But the day he hangs it up, they're done. It would be like Rush going on without Geddy. |

I have no problem with Benoit David and Oliver Wakeman, Yes has always had a revolving door membership and I don't expect them to be permafrozen in the 70s. But I haven't been terribly impressed by the more recent albums and, based on the sample from the Rolling Stone site, I'm doubtful that I will be by this one. But you never know, I'll wait till I hear the whole thing.

| | | Either way I can't wait. They are still Yes, and they are playing new material. I was born in the wrong era to see them in their prime........ But no matter what I'm going to enjoy seeing some of my heroes, even if they are a little worn down. (Hey, they can still kick the crap out of Nickleback)
