And his name is Victor Wooten (hehe), I've seen videos and stuff of him playing, but actually seeing him in person was pure amazement. Anyone else ever had the chance to see him live?

The day i see him live in Australia will be the day Simpsons re-runs are taken off the air. i.e. probably not in the foreseeable future.

Heh, him and the Flecktones are on a world tour right now, You never know, they might stop by your area. I mean, tucson isnt a big city at all, and they managed to swing by.

So the simpsons may be over faster than you think

What? Vic was here in Tucson? I knew nothing about it.

I can honestly say that his style of music is not for me but he is an amazing and inspiring player. I would have loved to have seen him live.

Saw/heard VW at Bass Day '98 here in New York - and was, of course, blown away by his technique and general musicianship. All that super-fast percussive right-hand stuff isn't really my kind of thing - from the standpoint of sheer music, I was more taken with Michael Manring, who also played at the event. But for anyone inclined toward funk or R&B, Vic is the ultimate...
