I think you get the look pretty close. The question is do you get the sound close?

you mean Annie Clark of St. Vincent?....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Vincent_%28musician%29

yea, I already let her know about my best...didn't work...she's sort of a big deal. lol. seriously, though...look her up. she's amazing. unbelievably charming and kind, too.

as for getting the sound down, I can do a pretty convincing John on stage. don't quite have the style down like a few do, but I learned Heaven and Hell (with vocals), The Real Me, and My Generation note for note by ear. some video is coming from last night, but we may have been so loud that you won't be able to hear anything. lol. I'll keep you guys updated, though.

How far are you going to take the impersonation?

I would find it hard to not move and look bored on stage all the time!

I enjoy a bit of jumping around and foot on the monitor...

Yea, that was the hard part. I'm gonna do my best to just stand there, but we'll see how it works out. I'm usually one to jump around on stage, and stuff.

I think you can pull off the look. Love the vintage Acoustic rig.

We were playing The Who Anthology CDs on our breaks this weekend. My drummer and I were discussing how much we like Call Me Lightning by The Who and it has a bass solo. I was saying I would like to play that song. I would hope your Who tribute band does this one.

You've got the look down, but if your going that far you'll need legit gear. Thankfully The Ox played a LOT of different gear.

It's already been said though, you'd best be able to back it up. If I went to a gig and saw you in that failing at playing the lines I'd be making fun of the douche in the velvet jacket.... The Ox had awful fashion sense, he dressed like a substitute teacher

Try to get a spider necklace. He was seemingly never without it. I'd give John Entwistle: An Ox's Tale a watch too. Excellent documentary on John and reveals a lot about who ( no pun intended ) he was as a musician and a person. It's currently on Netflix watch instantly.
