and I'm not even going to be able to show anyone when it's done.
My amp is banned from talkbass. It's covered with naked women. I needed another 5 string bass while waiting once again for my new 5-string Bongo. I bought an SX for $130 which kicks total butt. I am absolutely certain there is no better bass bargain on the planet. Anyhow - I decided to cover it like my amp. I'm using Polycrylic varnish like stuff and a bunch of Perfect 10 and Playboy mags. It ain't easy cuz of all the curves and trying to make it look good...
Just felt like writing about what I'm up to. I'm probably going to sell it when I get my Bongo, but it's going to be rough because I'm putting hours and hours into it. Anyone got any ideas on how I can discretely display this thing when it's done??? If I photoshop it with black bars covering anything questionable would that be cool? |

Don't ya'll get yer hopes too high - they're all "R" rated pics, and it's the first time I'm doing it to a bass. It's definitely got that "do it yourself, I don't know what the hell I was doin" look to it. I think I'm going to set up a page on my site with all the pics. Perhaps I won't put any links but give some hints - like they might be on the page has /bass after the our band url.  |
