So I'm thinking of purchasing some stage lighting..

Last Friday my band played an awesome shot at a local rock n roll bar. There was a great turnout and we all played really well...A friend of mine from another band braught some nice lighting and let us use it, it made the stage show so much better...the crowd was so mesmerized by the lights..it really set the mood..

Since that show I realized just exactly how important lighting is for a successful stage show - It adds so much!
Anywho, I have been browsing the net looking for some lighting and I think I decided on what the first purchase will be..check it out -

I also plan on getting the footswitch

Does anybody have any experience with this product? Are there any other stage lights that you have experience with and would highly recommend?

I definitely intend on getting lighting that responds to sound..or at least something that has many presets..something with a footswitch would also be nice.

Does anybody have any other recommendations for lighting their band has used and would highly recommend?

While Im not denying the importance of stage lighting I think that anything short ofa fully blown stadium concert setup generally looks really tacky. Even paying top dollar can leave you with tacky looking lights. That being said its better to have tacky lights than no lights.

I'd say that's pretty good for the price!

Go for it!

Lights really make the show so much more visually appealing. (It also makes for better photos )

here's an example of non cheesy lights

Show your Band on Stage !!!

here's an example of tacky stage lighting

That second link would of been similiar to the lights I had in my old band. Not good but better than nothing
