So, my band is playing opposite "The Who"...

My band is booked to play a private party in Boston at the Boston Beerworks on September 16. It's located just across the street from the TD Banknorth Garden (formerly the Fleet Center and Boston Garden before that). I just found out today that The Who have announced a new world tour. They are scheduled to play at the TD Banknorth Center on the same night as our gig! Anyone who's been in and around Boston lately knows that this means that traffic and parking will be a nightmare (and the parking will be very expensive). The load-in and load-out will be difficult at best! Oh well, maybe Roger, Pete and Pino will pop in for a cold one before (or after) the gig...

Cheers,
Kevin

Dude, tell me about it. I played Bill's Bar on Landsdowne same night as a home game (June 23rd) and I had to pay 35 bucks to park 3 blocks away.

Best of luck with the gig!

Bummer. I heard the announcement of the new tour yesterday on the radio. Pete and Roger did an acoustic version of Pete's new material. . . . and it was. . . . .horrible. The song was O.k., it was based upon Pete hearing his music on TV shows, mostly CSI (his explanation seemed longer than the song). Roger's vocals were very bad. With it just being Pete and Roger, you may get more attention than you think.
