so there is this guy i want to talk to....

Sign in to disble this ad
he lives about a block or two from me, i've walked past his house several times and more times then none i see him wheeling a double bass into his mini van... and other times i see him carrying an acoustic guitar around. dont want to sound like some little school girl, and its hard enough approaching girls to make small talk, but iv never had to approach a guy before to make small talk haha "hey dude, you play bass.... me too....." ::awkward silence::

lol

would be nice to have a friend in walking distance to have bass jams with lol

Just when you walk by, just say, "Hey, you must play bass." that should start a conversation right there.

Just ask him what kind of bass he plays and what gear he uses. That is always a great way to start a conversdation with a fellow musician..Who knows, maybe you guys will become friends and he'll give tips on how to approach chicks.

yea, next time i see him carrying something i will ask him about his gear... but if i was wheeling around an instrument as tall as me, i wouldn't want some random person bothering me lol

and i think if my girlfriend knew i was trying to find ways to pick up other chicks, she would be pretty sore

Just say "I couldn't help but notice you carrying around instruments from time to time. What do you play? Do you gig anywhere? Wanna jam?"
