Hiya, all.
I've been on the basic £5 2" seatbelt strap for ages now, and it's starting to do my shoulder in on those long rehersals! I want to get a nicer strap, but how much should I be looking to pay? I've seen silly prices for large leather straps, but are they worth it?
I don't mind spending an extra bit of money for a really nice strap that will help take the weight off my shoulder, but how far should I go? Are the top end straps actually much better than the mid ends ones? Thanks!

| | | | You can get the neotech's on ebay from the US ( I think they're the same as some of the fender). I got one, for xmas and they're really nice, so ordered a second so I've got one with straplocks on, and one without.
With shipping and all they were less than £20 each - I thought that was pretty reasonable: a nice step up from the cheapo straps, without getting into silly money.

But I mean, I see all these crazy 4" leather straps for like $100 and I wonder if they'd be worth it
I'm in central Lonon today anyway, so can see if they have anything there (doubt it :P), but I'll probably try a Neotech.
Thanks for the feedback

Can't speak on the high dollar ones, but I guess if you have the bread, go for it !

Unless there's something REALLY special- you should be able to get a really sweet strap for $35 or so.

It was a house brand strap, and it works great. Very comfy. I've also bought a few on Ebay - there are some darn good strap makers selling their stuff there. |
