Soft-synths live - Limitations

Sign in to disble this ad
Been doing research about how to play soft-synths live. Dissapointing to find out that the only alternatives (tell me if I'm wrong) seem to be using a laptop or a $2600 Muse Receptor. REALLY???

Honestly; I can't believe there isn't something in the $500-$800 range - say a 6"/6" touch screen PC - that can store at least one or two VST's. Something with a mounting bracket that you can attach to a keyboard stand or something.

Somebody has to be working on this. Something in the 'prosummer' realm to play VST synths live. I ask, because I think soft-synths are starting to sound better than what comes on-board most keyboards/workstations. (Probably get fire-bombed for saying that.)
