Talking Solo Bass pieces to perform?

I'm having my college gathering in February and I want to perform a solo bass piece that non-musicians will enjoy (and impress the girl that i like in college )

I'm currently practicing John Myung - Solar Groove.. Using my zoom bx1 for the drum beat.. Its beautiful ! but I don't know if the audience will enjoy it..

Any suggestions? pls?

You could try Stuart Hamm's 'Prelude in C', or 'Country Music'...

Bump because I am extremely interested in this. I never know what to play when someone asks me to play them something if I happen to be messing around on bass. I have noticed that Bach is a good one...

Good luck. Even most bass guitarists don't like listening to solo bass guitar performances.

So you want the general public to enjoy bass solos and you want girls to be impressed by prog rock?

I want world peace and a pony. I bet I get my wishes before you do.
