| | | | Solo bass songs for college talent show?

So my college is holding a talent show, and I was thinking of playing bass for it... the only problem is there's not a lot of bass-specific songs (other than a few like "Amerika"). Any song/style recommendations? Any ideas at all will help.

Here a couple of links for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9eDimuZmnk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HcmqDr6vxY
I don't imagine you would be able to find sheets or tabs for his stuff, but those pieces should be pretty easy to work out.
All the best.

Portrait of Tracy is awesome, even for non-bassist.
Bach suites sounds good on the electric bass. I've done the courante from the 2nd suite some years ago, and I worked a little on the Prelude from the 4th, both are really cool. |

or hey....here's an idea....WRITE something original! Not like the crowd is going to revel in the accuracy with which you play Portrait of Tracy, 99% won't know it. Write your own piece, and go out and hammer it. |

Many years ago when I was in highschool, a friend played Mood For a Day (from Yes Fragile) on guitar...played it perfectly with feeling. People knew Roundabout from that album but probably not much more and his crowd response was underwhelming.
