Seems like a long shot, but sometimes people surprise me....
I know I've heard the song before, and I heard it last night, but these 2 people wouldn't stop talking for me to get enough lyrics to be able to find it on a search.

and

These are towards the end of the song (?).
Sounded like she was singing through a phone too (i.e. it was obviously through a filter)
Please this is the second time its happened (oddly enough at the same place.... my wifes hair cuttist has good taste in music)
I thought it could be the yeah yeah yeahs, or florence and the machine, or whatever, hell maybe even adelle. but alas, I've found nothing. Fitz and the Tantrums maybe?.
