Song to Play for a Girl

Sign in to disble this ad
So I really like this girl, and we're going to be on a church retreat this coming week together, which is a great chance to hang out during down time, and all. I'm bringing my acoustic guitar, so I can jam a bit in my room with my room mates on the trip, anyway, so I figured I'd try to play something good for her when I get the chance to spend some time with her. I was thinking NOT romantic, but something like "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd, you know something that doesn't pour out gooey-lovey stuff (which I'm sure would make her a bit uncomfortable...), but something that says "Hey I really care about you." Any ideas, fellow TB'rs?

Are you talking lyrics, or the feel of a song dude? Styles of music might help..im thinking more upbeat without lyrics of erm...love

Play reggae. Play Bob. Stir It Up (A D E) or Jamming. You can thank me later.

If a girl played Wish You Were Here for ME, I'd be hard put to keep my pants on

I would say these are perfect... Nothing too cheesy..just great if you do them acoustic.. i guess you dont want anything that directs the song towards her....

I think just playing to her, will bring some good feelings out...

This thread is for great justice. The girls like to hear "Float On", you can get the rhythm and lead down on acoustic fairly easily. It's not a love song... but its cool!

Do it just acoustic and vocals. Red can be interpreted as love, right?

Dude, I'm getting kind of tired of the Buckcherry, SNL, and "Playing guitar to get laid". I like a funny vid (Lonely Island Boys, etc.) as much as the next guy, but come one! I'm serious here....

Wait! I can't believe that I didn't think of this in the first place. I should just friggin' ask her what her favorite song is! I just failed.
