Man, I've got some amazing memories of their live gigs. Pity they never broke it big out of Australia, they really deserved it. Apparently Ray Davies of The Kinks was to blame, kicking them off as his support act when they were to play the Hollywood Bowl. Apparently they'd outperformed the headliners once too often and Doc's stage presence was too much for Davies to compete with.
For 70's / 80's hard rock lovers who haven't heard of them, check them out on youtube. Shoot It Up - The Angels Live at Narara Take A Long Line - The Angels Live at Narara
