songs in 80bpm and 140bpm?

Sign in to disble this ad
I need somes tunes which has the tempo of 80bpm and 140 bpm. I have a rhythm class in uni which requires the skill of spotting certain tempos, and it helps to have a song as a reference. I already have "Another one bites the dust" and "Billie Jean". That was all quite poorly explained, I know, but nevermind.

Listen to a metronome and just get a feel for what 80bpm sounds like, or get a pedal with a drum machine, or band in a box or something like that and set it at 80bpm and then 140 to get an idea.

For what it's worth, we have a song in my band that's at 83 bpm, and one that's at 147, but that doesn't really help you.

Ok, for those of you who are confused, I just need a song in 140 bpm and 80 bpm, prefereably ones which everyone would know.

Go find out what 80bpm sounds like, then go listen to songs by bands that you know that is close to that, and you have your answer. I doubt many people sit there with a metronome and count out 80 and 140 bpm songs with aspirations to one day be able to use that knowledge on an internet forum.

This thread needs to be moved to the Miscellaneous Forum.

Anyhow, as far as examples go, for 140, I know Racer X's Scarified, Motorhead's Ace Of Spades, Rush's YYZ and Metallica's Call Of Ktulu are approximately @ q = 140 bpm. Will report back if I recall any 80 bpm songs.

Do you need one song with both, or a track for each?

No, just a song in either of those tempos.

And yes, this should by moved, apologies. I was very sleepy when I made this thread.

What do you mean? Of course I said tempos!

And I've never heard a song annoounce it's tempo before... don't think I'll be able one techno song apart from any other though. It's the same speed as Ace of Spades and Call of Kthulu, so I can remember that.

Just need the 80 bpm now.

Also Mark, is that Justin Bieber? And why is he your avatar? Irony for the sake of irony?

I want everyone to know that I don't necessarily like the song I posted. All I did was search "140 bpm" on Youtube.

You can use software like Numark Cue to adjust the tempo of any song. Find one close and then tweak it.

Numark Cue is expensive, but I would imagine there is freeware which would do this for you. Then you could simply burn it to CD.

Sorry. It's just that when people say "think of a song", I just can't think of anything. Much like when people say "tell a joke".

That would work, if I knew of a song which goes for 160 bpm!

I think U2's The Electric Co. is somewhere around 160.
