Question Songs every bassist should know for a cover band?

I used to be in a cover band. We don't play anymore, and I miss it. I'm playing with two originals acts ATM, but I'm sure someday I'll be in a cover band again. So, I'd like a nice long list of songs to know, so that when I feel the need to practice I can just load up Winamp and put it on random. Here's what I have so far, some from my old band:

adam ant - goody two shoes
aretha franklin - think
bon jovi - livin' on a prayer
cake - short skirt long jacket
chic - good times
elvis costello - pump it up and radio, radio
four tops - bernadette
j geils band - angel is the centerfold
jackson 5 - i want you back
led zep - many of these apply
michael jackson - billie jean
peter gabriel - sledgehammer
pink floyd - money
the smiths - there is a light that never goes out
talking heads - psycho killer
the four tops - same old song
the killers - all these things that i've done
the supremes - can't hurry love
wild cherry - play that funky music

what else do lots of cover bands play that one should be prepared for?

Here's some that I get asked to play when I sit in or during spontaneous jams:

Sweet Home Chicago
Hey Joe
Hard to Handle
Blue Sky
Sweet Emotion
Walk This Way
Ramblin' Man

I could go on and on with those!

Where I live, you HAVE to be able to play these:

Mary Jane's Last Dance
Brown Eyed Girl
Sweet Home Alabama
Brick House
Turn the Page
Mustang Sally

After that, you can play whatever you want.

In my old band we swore to each other that we would never play any of the cliche songs, and we stuck to it, but sometimes I feared a riot!
