Songs with misunderstood lyrics

Sign in to disble this ad
There are a lot of songs out there that you cant understand what the singer says and so the lyrics get misunderstood.
I always thought that Mick Jagger when he sang Beast of Burden was actually saying Your pizza's burnin'. And Huey Lewis was saying This is a zit not this is it.

Ever since my friend in high school pointed this out, I always hear it even though I know what he's saying.

"You need Kool-aid. Baby, I'm not fooling"

Do I need to name the song?

There is Steve Miller's Bingo Jet Had a Light On
GnR's Very Last City

And this vid is great. It is Fall Out Boys Sugar We're Going Down...someone drew cartoon characters with his interpretation of what the lyrics say, pretty funny.

The South is full of bigotry, especially in the North.

One of the funniest examples of sheer stupidity is that these guys with long ass mullets and various examples of trashed 1980's camaros once told me that in AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" that Bon Scott actually said

"Send a N&$#@r on a one way ride"

I fell on the ground and laughed my ass off at these guys, I couldn't believe they actually thought AC/DC was some sort of White Supremiscist group.

Then I looked it up on the net, and sure enough apparently a tone of people think he said a similar thing.

CKY - 96 Quit Bitter Beings (On the fork turn left a store, but on the right stay free from sight)

There was a stand-up comic who used to do a whole bit based on this. I saw him on the MTV Half-hour Comedy Hour WAY backinna' day...he was pretty funny. His best one was Steve Miller's "Bingo Jet Had a Light On".

I think that was Matt Weinhold and he's pretty funny, especially his jokes about his dating the daughter of a famous Star Trek actor.

Lots of Coheed and Cambria stuff, I get mixed up.

I always thought Claudio was saying "I need Mayo" in Hearshot Kid Disaster. Then I look it up, and he's actually saying it 0_o.

of course, being the the one hit wonder that it was, they just named it that anyway.
when originally, if you have ever seen the video that goes wit the song, they way too stoned off their @$$ when they wrote the song that the singer couldn't pronounce"in the garden of Eden"

When I was a little kid, I thought he was singing "Big Ol' Jed in a Lineup."

Then again, I also thought there was a really cool Thin Lizzy song called "The Boys of Megatown."
