Sound Bytes on ebay

I was just talking to a friend about him buying a jade flute on ebay and he said something that really struck me: "I wish they had a recording of how it." Wow, it just really makes so much sense. An instrument is about the sound, why don't they include sound clips for instruments? I mean I can see why low budget instruments don't, the effort would be too much, but when you see a boutique bass I think it would be nice to be able to hear it.

That would be cool, but considering all of the amp/mic/di box/effect/EQ/compression combinations out there, it might be hard to get what the "pure" sound of a bass sounds like.

It is a good idea, though.
