One of the Mods over on The Pit found a good source to buy shipping boxes for basses.

I get asked all the time where to get them so I thought I'd pass along the link here.

Of course, it's still cheaper to go dumpster diving behind your favorite GC but some of you may want a better source.

uhhh.. is this spam?? i guess this is more for manufacturers, i sell this.. http://www.bcuplastics.com/sku-032/w...yMaster_ID=496
it's an alternative to bubble wrap. It's ten times stronger (doesn't "pop") and you can make as many sections as you NEED rather than having a huge roll of bubble wrap. either diamond shape or 6" wide rectangles. if any luthiers in intrested, PM me.. i'll give you the scoop.

Very cool find Steve. I hit up my local GC when I need a box, and they always hook me up with a nice one. Excellent option for those who can't hit up a GC. $6 each is a great price.

This is great for those of us who occasionally sell a used bass. Moved to Miscellaneous.

Yeah that's a very good price. I used to pay $20 a pop for custom shipping boxes.

Now I can also toss out all these limp noodles around here too!
