That's funky blues, anything Albert Collins did with Johnny B Gayden on bass is in the same ballpark.

sounds like a funky blues - i'm not hearing the southern rock in this...

check out some Edgar Winter, Oteil and the Peacemakers, & Robert Randolph. You might also want to check out Tower of Power since this video quotes one of their songs at the end...

Also, check out the original Shaky Ground by the Temptations, it had Billy Bass Nelson from Funkadelic on bass.

I was refering to that kind of feel with southern...perhaps I am wrong, but that southern feel comes from texas where the blues and country meet..Like stevie ray vaughan or this guy buddy.

Jerry, The original Shaky Ground is by Delbert McClinton.

Gotta stand up fer a fellow Texan

The Tempts version smokes though.

I don't know, I'm pretty sure the Temptations did it first, Eddie Hazel wrote the song. Delbert is a good call though, funky Texas blues.

Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies (SCW).
Awesome stuff. Their Self-Titled album and "Magnolia" are killer.

While I can't find when Delbert released "Shakey Ground", I know the Temps did it back in '74 or '75.

According to this; http://www.discogs.com/artist/Alphonso+Boyd?anv=Al+Boyd

Al Boyd and Eddie Hazel wrote the tune. The Tempts did realease it first in '75 with Delbert's Version following in '80.

Sorry Jerry!

God Bless, Ray

I'm thinking more "Georgia"/Southern...
Derek Trucks Band
Sea Level
...the current version of the Allman Bros?

Texas?
The Electromagnets?
