plug boot by ulrich von hurtem, on Flickr
Swapped my spark plug wires yesterday. Turns out the strain relief fits 1/4" plugs.
Photo is just a test fit on some scrap I had, but next time I solder up an instrument cable, it's getting spark plug wire strain relief.
EDIT: Darn you flickr! I shrunk that pic down to , 26kb/ 968 x 648 pixels for speedy web views. Flickr made it 111kb/ 968 x 648, and a bit crappier looking. Lame!

Tried one out on a right angle, G&H plug. I assumed the spark plug boot would be too bulky, but it works fine.
