Speak-on Y cable: how do I make one?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have an Eden WT405 and I run two 4ohm wizzys from it for a 2ohm load total. The wt405 has a single speakon output which says two ohm minimum. the 1/4 outputs (2) say 4ohm minimum. Thus I can only use the single speakon output to run both my cabs.

First off, is there any disadvantage to just connecting one of the cabs to the amp and then connecting the second cab to the first cab?

Ultimately I would rather use the Speakon Y cable. I have experience making speakon cables previoulsy. I just want to make sure I am doing it right so I dont fry my amp or do any damage.

So how do I go about making the speakon Y cable?

Nope, no disadvantage to doing this, and IMHO, it is more robust than a
Y cable.

I'll back you up on this, Dr. Jim. BTW, my knee's been feeling a little sore. Any advice?
