I once ran sound for a friends band. For some reason, they found it necessary to run everything through the board. I didn't say anything because I was basically supposed to make it sound as best as I could...whatever.

Anyway, at this one gig, the keyboards kept turning her amp up on stage. I kept telling her to cut it back, but she said that she couldn't hear herself. So after fighting with her for 2 whole sets, I finally just cut her completely out of the mix. When the rest of the band later asked me to turn her down, I had to explain how I have had her off for 45 minutes, and it's all her amp.

She, of course, still could not hear herself.

you could suggest she gets some in-ear moniters for herself if she has hearing troubles.
