Speakon Cables

What type of speakon cables do you use for connecting your head to your cab? Does it really matter or should I just get w/e there is in GC.

Recommend me some cables guys!

I usually just got to GC and pick up their brand.

Hi.

The type depends on the use.

For normal single channel use, the "straight" one is the choice and usually it doesn't matter if one's using 2 or 4 pole one.

For bi-amping, 4 conductor one, obviously.

For bridging, a special cable has to be used/made, and the specific ends have to be marked clearly.

As for the brand, any that uses genuine Neutrik connectors.

Thanks Sam, just got some Livewire ones... I think it boosted my sound like 2x from regular 1/4" instrument cables. I think...

Instrument cable and Speaker cable are totally different, and should not be interchanged if they absolutely don't have to be.
