spector and butt-rock?

Sign in to disble this ad
was there some sort of conspiracy to make the spector the instrument of choice for butt-rock bass players that i'm too young to have known about?

Yes. And since you own a Spector, everything you play is butt-rock. Now stop crying.

Well, back then in the 80's...spectors were all over, and very popular. They are great basses though from what i read on talkbass

Dont let that discourage you & most importantly dont fall into the butt-rock purgatory!!

Butt-funk is also something different. And not in a musical genre.

i wonder why the popularity dropped off, though. was it because nino brown switched to sadowsky!?!

yeah, sting used a spector, and the police aren't entirely butt-rock. entirely.

now it seems the most visible bands with spectors are story of the year, shinedown, coheed and cambria, and judas priest. as far as i've seen.

is judas priest butt-metal? ...or...not?

Back in the 80's, Kramer owned Spector & Kramer gave them to EVERYONE (except me. )

I still have a Czech Spector & I just picked up a USA NS-2J Bolt on. I'm pretty sure either of my 2 bands are not Butt-Rock.

Yeah...right!

IIRC, doesn't Doug Wimbish use Spectors in addition to various custom incarnations of his Ibanez signature?
