Are Squier guitars any good?

I have and love a VM mustang bass. But are there guitars any good? Any suggestions?

There is a major difference in quality between guitars from any one brand. Get a $75 Squier guitar, probably not very good.

A $300-400 Squier is probably a lot better.

I would rather buy a Squier in that price range than a $500 Fender.

I generally find the Squier guitars to be variable when it comes to quality. You really have to check out each individual instrument. Some, IMO, are rubbish but there are some good instruments as well.

There not good for me, but some of the Squire lines look to be just fine.

There's a Squire Lake Placid blue 1959 P Bass reissue that looks really cool

I think he means 6 string guitars... But I could be wrong.

Yeah your right.

I really don't know how much of a difference, quality wise there is between the Squire guitar line and the Fender made in Mexico lines.

Their guitars are fantastic! I love my CV thinline telecaster. Also have an affinity strat that is surprisingly good.

Hop over to TDPRI.com and read up on the Squiers. Very highly praised over there. And it's a similar forum layout to talkbass.

I picked up a CV '50s tele last summer. I love it! I play it way more often than the Fender strat I've had for some 14 years now. The Squier is far and away better than any new six string under $1000 (of any brand) that I've tried in the past decade.

Of course, just like any brand, you have to play lots and lots of guitars before you find the perfect one.

Yes, they're good. Play some. If you find one you like, buy it.

That is all.

I have a Squier Classic Vibe 60's P bass and its great! From what I have read and experienced, Squier's CV series is top-notch/comparable to made in Mexico Fenders.

(Note- I said comparable, not equal to or better )

Is it thee? I thought thou was the subjective case, ie "thou art what thou consumeth," whereas "thee" is objective, ie "I murder thee!"

Or something like that.

Perhaps so. I bless thee and keep thee and lift up my countenance upon thee.

The more expensive ones get a lot of praise. With the cheaper ones, it's important to go case by case. Most are good, some are dogs. My Squier Affinity strat is a great guitar. I've changed very little on it in 4 years, as it's a solid and good player.
