Talking Stand Up And Be Counted - The John Hall Fan Club! Rickenbacker Content!

Sign in to disble this ad
I thought it might be appropriate to start a club for individuals who are a fan of John Hall. He's the CEO for Rickenbacker.

This thread will provide a forum to discuss how the CEO has taken Rickenbacker form one point to the next with respect to product development, innovation, feature improvement, and anything else that is worthy of discussion.

Being that this is an open forum, all opinions are welcomed and valued.

That's the great thing about Talk Bass, we get to express what's on our minds without the fear of being censored, unlike other forums.

Please adhere to Talk Bass rules.

Given that you used "Fanboy" disparagingly in the thread in the Basses forum, I hope that rule #1 (Respect) will be adhered to. Fair warning.

since most folks consider the term "fan boy" to be derrogatory, and since i know that would not be your intent, since that would be both trolling and disrespectful of a fellow tb'er (john hall is a member here), i changed the title to reflect this.

great idea for a club - john hall's a prince among men. took time to answer my personal questions regarding my rickenbacker 4080 right after i got it a long time ago and has always been a very cool cat to talk to at various namm shows. i admire how he's kept the company pure and fought the "Barbarians at the gate" counterfeiters tooth and nail preserving the rickenbacker brand in the face of nearly insurmountable opposition from southeast asia.

actually, it's standard practice in these groups that the group starter is #1.

so that'd be you. .

so let's have the count already - group starter, that's your responsibility, but i'll cover for you this time.

while normally i shun groups (find them a bit divisive, sorta counter to the whole concept of "a forum to bring bassists together") i'd gladly take #2 for the john hall club.

so by my reckoning, we have

1. gibenbackerbass
2. john turner
3. 68goldfish
4. 4001
5. tarrbot.

any more?

I just finished cleaning the soles of JH's shoes with my tongue and taking his laundry to the dry cleaners.....I will take 7.

P.S. I weep at the very mention of JH's name. That's why I am using his initials only....so I don't make myself cry.
