i got this guitar from my friend for free, johnson acoustic


but theres residue from stickers on it, and its not coming off? is there anything i can use to make it all pretty again?

I would be careful using goo gone, it may marr the finish. I would try a blow dryer and a plastic putty knife. Heat really helps, but again be careful you dont get the surface too hot as it might wreck the guitar.

WD-40 but like the other stuff, try on a small inconspicuos area first to make sure it doesn't mar the finish.

Also I've heard the skillet spray stuff (Pam) may work.

You might try denatured alcohol. It's a good solvent for adhesives. I'd do a test spot first.

Naptha= Lighter Fluid. Wipe it off when you're done.

Whatever you do don't take a hairdryer to your guitar.
