Stores in Houston, TX?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm in Houston for a week on business. Are there any good music stores around here? I know theres a few Guitar Centers, I'll probably check those out, but are there any stores in the area that have a lot of good gear? Thanks.

Rockin' Robin Guitars... great selection. Always find a couple of unusual used pieces The address is off of sheperd. The GC on Westheimer usually has a few cool pieces

The are usaually cheaper than Guitar Center and have a better selection IMO. I-45 near West Road on the North side of town

also Fuller's Vintage Guitars is pretty cool

I agree with all of the above.

Rockin Robin, is on Sheperd two blocks north of Hwy. 59 south. If you are looking to buy, know your prices before you go in there. They use the MSRP on the tags on everything, accesories too. But mark the price down with bearly even asking. How much they take off/discount I don't know. I did buy a tuner winder there, they marked it down, only to find it priced at Guitar Center $2.00 cheaper.

Parker music is really cool, lots a selection, nice prices. Location is exactly where described above.

Even though it is the Guitar Center the one on Westheimer Rd. one block past Voss/Hilcroft is huge, i was told they are the 3rd largest in the US in tearms of square footage.... They carry MarkBass if you want to try it out. Nice selection...

Enjoy your stay and let us know how you liked it...

Check out Fuller's Vintage Guitars. Only Rickenbacker dealer left in Houston. They've got a ton of stuff. (They bought almost all of Fender's NAMM stuff.)

If you're a lefty, check out Southpaw Guitars

Man, I can't believe I forgot to mention Fuller's. I haven't been there in years; I'll have to stop by myself again someday.

Parker Music isn't a RIC dealer anymore?

EDIT: actually, they still are, if this page is up to date: http://www.rickenbacker.com/dealers.asp?state=TX I remember Southpaw used to be a RIC dealer as well.
