Stores in Miami

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi there,
I am going to Miami in a few weeks and i want to buy a new bassguitar over there. I searched this forum and found 3 different stores here. SamAsh, Guitar center and MAE.

The basses i would like to try are fender P's of J's MIA of MiM or the Lakland DD. The main reason is that they are way cheaper in the USA then in the Netherlands.
This is for new instruments.

Now i have another question.
Do these stores also have a lot of used bassguitars in stock or just new ones?

And are there more music stores in Miami?

There are more, a lot. Guitar Center carries a lot of used, Sam Ash I don't know and MAE, my teacher recommended but i haven't had a chance to go take a look yet. Space Music near me has a lot of Peavey's. Take a look in a yellowbook to find other stores.

about 2 years ago i passed by a beautiful egyptian smoke EB stingray with a d-tuner for $800 (used) in the sam ash at dolphin mall, and it looked like it was in mint condition. unfortunately i had no money. but usually the stores here stock like this:

sam ash: fender, ltd, esp, squier, yamaha, ibanez, carlo robelli/store brand (all low end models)
guitar center: fender/squier, EB, gibson/epiphone, yamaha, spector, schecter, warwick (be prepared to spend $$$)

i have yet to go to MAE, but if you manage to find a mom & pop store, they usually have some nice gear.
