I'm staring down the barrel of taking a redundancy from work after over 13 years and changing employers, possibly changing careers. Great timing I know

While discussing options with my lady I joke about making music my full time occupation (like work in music store, play in cover bands at night, move somewhere more lucrative, learn to mix, consider originals etc), to which she replies, almost seriously, "I would move wherever you needed to make that easily happen".

We have the whole package to consider, kids, mortgage etc and while I'm not putting much serious thought towards the idea, her support piqued enough interest to wonder what considerations would best be made to make something like that successfully happen?
