Strap positioning

why does all the bass players i see have their bass strapped all low? is it easier to play when it is all low?

I think the best strap hieght is to adjust the strap wihile you are sitting straight up with bass on your knee then lower it an inch or two.Just my preference.

because it looks cool! Not always practical though. I think its more practical to have it higher. I have mine strapped with the upper horn even with my nipple.
