Strap suggestions

Sign in to disble this ad
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions/favorites in the way of straps. My main bass is fairly light and pretty well-balanced, but the strap I'm using just isn't comfortable at all.

I was considering the Betty from Mode: http://www.monocase.com/mono-gs1-betty.asp

Any other suggestions?

I've been using Comfort Strapps almost exclusively for about 16 years. They're great.

But those "Betty" straps from Monocase look pretty intriguing. They look like they'd be comfortable like a Comfort Strapp, but have more color options. If you DO get one, post back and let us know how you like it. Thanks.

I'm pretty set and happy with my 4" Italia straps. I've got them on 3 of my 4 basses currently.

Moody for me. Expensive, but worth it for quality and comfort. I'll use my Moody straps for the rest of my life - that sort of puts the price into a positive perspective.

I have a Perri's padded leather strap. 4" wide (could be more) and very comfortable; I use it with my fiver.

Mono "betty" and the Comfort Strapp are excellent. I have both for my heavy Modulus. The Comfort Strapp has more give- stretches a small amount under the weight of my bass. i found the Mono to be a little more firm and slightly better at evenly distributing the weight; no sliding around. The strap holes are a little stiff when new, but they are secure. The Mono construction quality is better, IMO.

+1 About a month ago, Moody's online store had a sale on straps. I picked up a 4" black/black leather strap for $100!

I was interested in an Italia, 'til I noticed the Moody sale.

I own 2 bass guitars and 3 straps. The Comfort Strapp is the one collecting dust. Great reviews, but I'm not crazy about it.
