Strapless Bass Stand?

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone hear of any manufacturers who has a guitar stand that allows the player to play without a strap and on a stand? I've seen this before several times (Stanley Jordan), but I'm thinking about something like this.

Any input would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks!

Are you referring to the Gracie Performer Guitar Stand?

FYI, Alex Lifeson of Rush actually created and first mass produced the concept under the name "The Omega Stand" for the obvious reason the Rush needed more instruments to play.

The first time I saw The Flecktones in late '93, Victor played one song with his (at the time new) tenor bass on one of these things so he could play the regular bass lines on the standard EADG-tuned bass and solo simultaneously on the tenor by tapping.

Gimmickry at it's finest!

Ian, yes, that's the one, or like it! Upon browsing the site, it looks like this one might be better and cheaper:

Cheers!!!!

I'm not gigging with this. Actually just in my studio for a bass that sounds nice, but has got a nasty neck dive..
