I've been intrigued by street performance a lot lately. The idea of playing acoustic instruments and stripped down music in that setting seems appealing to me. And exploring alternatives and stripped down versions of instruments such as the washtub bass and weird arrangements of drums. I saw a three piece band where there were two guitarists and the percussions played on a cajon (box drum) and had a splash cymbal.
Anyway I'm just wondering if you guys know any good street performance related websites or stories to help me follow this interest.
Some places just let you do it, other places you need to go to the town and get a permit... I don't know anywebsite about this kind of thing though, sorry. Say, come see my trio in Portsmouth NH sometime.
