I gotta say, it's DAMN accurate. Used it to intonate my bass and it worked great. Because I carry my iPhone EVERYWHERE with me, I'm never without a quality tuner (but I don't carry the cable so I'd have to use the phone mic, which seems to work well too).

Problem is you won't be able to download the cable. |

I purchased the TB Strobe Tuner ( http://www.tbstrobetuner.com/, $8.90) and I have been very happy with it. The tuner is very sensitive and very fast, which is important to me since I use it for intonation practice. The developer is very responsive and open to feature requests.
Cheers,
Jeff

Jeff | i was going to post this one!
a real strobe tuner is a thing of beauty once you get used to it, and will spoil you for regular "dumb" tuners.
as far as back in meatspace, it's turbo-tuners forever!

I have an iPod Touch, with the the Peterson cable and app, and it works fine. I keep the cable in my bass case, so that it's always with me when I need it, as I don't have a built-in mic as a back-up option |

Ive always wanted a Peterson but could never justify the high price.
I use my Korg tuner once at each gig and it seemed silly to pay all that money for the peterson. But the software ive well worth the money.
I just use an old Nokia audio/video cable with a phono to jack adaptor on the end. Works perfectly with the Itouch although its not as elegant as the dedicated lead.
At home i use Guitar rig and that has a strobe built it.
