Studying in U.S.

I'm from Denmark and I'm planning to take half a year to the U.S. and studying electric bass in autumn 2012. Want to hear about someone who has experience or tricks to share? Have looked at Bass Collective in New York because I can get an apartment there. Have also considered just getting a good bass teacher and piano teacher because it would be cheaper but think you will miss the community with the other students you would get for example at Bass Collective.

Hey mbjensen, I'll be heading to the bass collective on Saturday for a four-week intensive program. I'll let you know all about it when I return.

You can take private classes in Denmark.

In the US going to a school like Bass Collective will open new horizons to you as a person and a musician. You'll interact with musicians from all over the world and different backgrounds and that is just priceless...

Good luck.
